The Mileseey PF1 Rangefinder one of the lightest and smallest rangefinders in golf. But this one proves the old adage that great things can come in small packages.

Introduction

For many of us, rangefinders are as important on the course as our cell phones are in daily life. Knowing the exact yardage for any shot is invaluable to scoring better and the Mileseey PF1 Rangefinder is one of a select few that’s got the combination of being waterproof, accurate, and pocket-sized. While there are definitely rangefinders cheaper on the market, this one has a unique combination of features that’ll appeal to specific golfers.

Set Up & Ease of Use

There is nothing more annoying on a rangefinder than lag. Fortunately, that’s not an issue with the Mileseey PF1 Rangefinder. After several rounds of using the PF1, I can happily report that it is lightning-fast, and snappy when it comes to target acquisition. Going from a tree behind the green to the pin, to a water hazard, to a bunker, and back to the pin was effortlessly smooth and quick. Moreover, it has an extremely easy-to-read interface.

When it comes to setup, there really was none. Straight out of the box, it was charged and ready to go. I had no trouble acquiring and getting accurate yardage to trees, bunkers, or water hazards. It even features a vibrational pulse to let you know you’ve locked the pin. Outside of the rangefinder unit, the package also came with a wrist strap, charging cable, lens cleaner, carrying case, and instruction manual.

Accuracy & Performance

The true story of the Mileseey PF1 Rangefinder is its size. It’s incredibly tiny. The tale of the tape has it measuring 3.78’’ long, 2.5’’ tall, and 1.4’’ wide, meaning it is one the smallest rangefinders we’ve ever seen, comparable to the Minimi (review HERE). But while it may be a hair bigger than Minimi, the PF1 is lighter, weighing in at just over 3.5 ounces.

That makes it one of, if not the, lightest rangefinders in golf. That lightweight profile makes it an extremely appealing option for a number of different golfers. Those who are looking to shed weight from their bag, those with small hands, women, juniors, or players who want to keep their rangefinder on them at all times.

It’s not just the size that makes this rangefinder noteworthy though, as it also sports top notch accuracy. When comparing the Mileseey PF1 Rangefinder to my current go-to rangefinder, the Bushnell Tour V5 Shift Laser Rangefinder (review HERE), the yardages were identical. This makes sense as they advertise it as being accurate for up to 1,100 yards. It doesn’t just measure strictly distance either, as it contains a feature to turn slope calculations on or off, as well.

The PF1 is available in two colors, pink and grey. At its full price, the PF1 is in the upper half of rangefinders, but the $300 price puts it solidly in the middle of the market where it is a strong value.

Undoubtedly some of the cost that comes with this particular model is also because it is markedly water-resistant. The way to tell about a device’s resistance to water and dust can be measured by an Ingress Protection rating, and the PF1 has a rating of 65. That means that it’s completely dust-tight, and is protected from water jets at any angle, but isn’t waterproof and can’t be submerged in water for any length of time. With that said, I have used the PF1 multiple times in moderate and even heavy rain and found it to remain functional.

Conclusion

While this Mileseey PF1 rangefinder is not meant to be a submarine, it is simultaneously one of the smallest, lightest, most accurate, and most water-resistant rangefinders on the market. It’s not inexpensive, but it is a versatile tool that has many niche features to make it a great choice for a wide variety of golfers. It’s something that will absolutely become a mainstay with me for any future golf travel.
