Lie Angle

Lie angle is the angle between the club shaft and the ground at address. Lie angles tend to vary only slightly. Short irons, such as the 9-iron and the wedges will be the most erect, at about 63-degrees. Longer irons (such as the 3) will have lie angles closer to 57-degrees.

Finding the correct lie angle is a key part of good club fitting.
