Couldn’t have said it better myself. Since reviewing the Jones Original carry bag earlier this year, not only have I fallen in love with the brand, the whole PluggedInGolf crew has. Admittedly, we are suckers for classic vibes, good looks, and standing out from the crowd, but something about Jones just feels so much more than that. Forty years ago, a 40-year-old taxi driver named George Jones stitched up a couple of golf bags and sold them out of the trunk of his car. While the brand has sold over a million bags, Jones still manages to keep a classic feel and offer a range of cool, even custom, products.
At PluggedInGolf, we regularly show up to equipment testing with smaller bags containing a range of random clubs for testing. This is where we initially fell in love with Jones bags. After spending time with the carry bag on the course, we were hooked.
The bag is so comfortable to carry with just one strap, lightweight, and fit everything we really needed. Most importantly, it gives us that cool, vintage feel like we’re paying homage to the past somehow. We became so appreciative of everything about these bags that we took the next step of getting custom bags to put into permanent use.
Custom golf bags may be nothing new to the golf world, but that doesn’t mean all are created equal. In our opinion, Jones golf bags are one of the best carry bags out there and being able to customize them for yourself, your team, or your business helps make them that much more special. The long and short of it is that these Jones bags are flat out cool with a nod to golf’s past.
